About The Position

We are seeking a driven Lead Maintenance Mechanic to join a leading chemical manufacturer in Aurora, IL. You will work closely with management and staff to address maintenance requirements and assist with training. If you have experience troubleshooting and repairing bottling equipment we encourage you to apply!

Requirements

• High school diploma minimum.
• 5-7 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Experience with pneumatics, industrial pumps, packaging equipment, PLCs, conveyors, valves, motors, VFDs and hydraulic systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with boilers, pipe cutting, welding, and industrial design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance on production (Blending & Packaging) and facility equipment.
• Oversee the setup and management of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the facility.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment to ensure availability when needed.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness in all tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
• Install and repair industrial pumps (electric & AOD), actuated and manual valves (steel, stainless, bronze) and piping (PVC, SS, copper).
• Support projects and coordinate external contractors for plant work.
• Lead and train team members in maintenance and repair tasks.
• Install production and facility equipment in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
