About The Position

The Maintenance Intern will work with Maintenance Technicians and Plant Technicians to learn plant systems and sub-systems from a maintenance perspective. Team members in this role will learn the safe and efficient repair, and the preventative maintenance and cleaning on all plant equipment. Pay: $20 per hour

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be pursuing education in a field related to industrial maintenance or operation and enrolled at an accredited educational institution.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to change.
• You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite.
• You’re capable of learning new programs.
• Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements at all times and in all work environments.

Responsibilities

• Learn plant systems and sub-systems with regard to operation of pump/valve/meter systems.
• Complete daily checklists with water testing and treatment procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures within the Maximo system.
• Work alongside Maintenance Technicians performing project work orders.
• Respond to reactive situations if the need arises (from a maintenance perspective).
• Learn operations of the biorefinery, including the DCS system.
• Foster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times.
• Maintain a team environment at all times and champion POET in the community.
