About The Position

As a member of the facilities & maintenance team, you will be responsible for facilities repairs and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, and ten (10+) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift Certification
  • Electrical Certification – 480 V 3 Phase to as low as 5 VDC
  • Great technical knowledge – skilled in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry
  • Ability to troubleshoot (diagnose and repair issues)
  • Good working knowledge and experience in using power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Keen to detail to demonstrate thoroughness and ability to improve and promote quality
  • Good problem-solving skills to identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to follow oral and written work instructions and take direction.
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and priorities of multiple maintenance tasks with deadlines
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to meet work schedule assigned

Responsibilities

  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
  • Repairs electrical equipment and 120 V electrical connections.
  • Work with 480 V 3 Phase to as low as 5 VDC
  • Drive company vehicle 50-80% of time for material pick up and other needs.
  • Trouble shoot and repair production and building equipment down to board level.
  • Perform on going preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
  • Perform facility inspections, prepare and submit reports of conditions in the building and recommend actions to be taken.
  • Support any building needs and activities as required.
  • Update and maintain PM records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
