About The Position

Beyond TalentEdge has partnered with a leading nationwide medical manufacturer in Rochester, NY to hire a Maintenance Technician III. This role is critical in maintaining and improving equipment reliability within a fast-paced production environment. The Maintenance Technician III will apply advanced mechanical and electrical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize complex systems, while also supporting preventative maintenance programs, assisting with projects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency. Work Schedule: 12 hour shifts. (2) days 6a-6p (2) days 6p-6a, 4 days off

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or formal apprenticeship preferred.
  • Associate degree in industrial maintenance, engineering technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in high-speed automated production, packaging, or similar manufacturing systems.
  • Strong skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, blueprint/schematic reading, and use of precision tools.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and commitment to safety practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with predictive technologies (vibration analysis, ultrasonic, infrared thermography) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex production and facility systems.
  • Apply expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as PLCs and robotics.
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians and apprentices, providing guidance and reviewing their work for accuracy.
  • Support and improve preventative maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with SOPs and GMP standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend long-term solutions to recurring equipment issues.
  • Document maintenance activities accurately and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in small-scale projects, equipment upgrades, and safety-related improvements.
