We are looking for a Maintenance Technician III to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will: Perform maintenance of the machines including calibration, regularly scheduled maintenance and routine servicing. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment. Perform basic electrical wiring and electrical cabinet wiring. Troubleshoot electrical issues – 12&24 v dc, 120v, 240v, and 480v 3 phase circuits. Troubleshoot machines and equipment providing recommendations for repair. Ensure that shop is run consistent with in-house quality and regulatory requirements. Maintain clean work environment. Read and understand Equipment Manuals and Electrical drawings. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 6 years related experience required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical school certificate/degree preferred.
  • Must be skilled as an Industrial Mechanic with strong electrical skills.
  • Extremely hands on with strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to build small control cabinets with low and high voltage.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Multi-tasking abilities required for multiple priorities.
  • Ability to easily read and understand verbal and written instructions, including some technical information and all safety information
  • Mechanic skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, and pneumatics.
  • Fabricate tooling and fixtures that are needed to support product development and production runs.
  • Detail orientated self-starter who works with little or no supervision.
  • Perform work tasks at elevated height.
  • Ability to work flexible, extended, and irregular hours when needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

Nice To Haves

  • Use lathes, mills, drills, and other machines to build replacement parts. This skill is preferred, but not required.
