This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a and hardworking team of specialists, you will maintain all production assets to OEM/company standards, perform preventative maintenance routes, and perform detailed troubleshooting of plant equipment. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Requirements

  • Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and P&IDs
  • Experience with motor control, VFDs, servo drives, HMI interface, industrial network protocols (ProfiNET, ProfiBUS, Ethernet) and industrial instrumentation
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, and general electrical safety practices
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiar with use of personal computers and CMMS
  • Self-motivated and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates

Nice To Haves

  • Fanuc, Kuka, and Siemens controls experience
  • Experience with robotic systems and motion control
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk ME, TIA Portal, etc.)
  • Experience with robotic systems and motion control
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment, including robots, welders, furnaces, chillers, motors, gearboxes, and various manufacturing equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and VFDs
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed (may include occasional overtime or off shift coverage)
  • Safely work within an industrial environment
  • Maintain records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, including adherence to 5S practices
