About The Position

The Maintenance Technician III position in Blythewood, SC involves working closely with production supervisors and operators to support production initiatives. This includes equipment modifications, repairs, and preventative maintenance. The technician will troubleshoot machinery and equipment, record and schedule maintenance tasks, lead special projects, requisition necessary parts and materials, fabricate replacement parts, and foster an environment that promotes the company's goals and continuous improvement. Additionally, the technician will locate and determine electrical and electronic malfunctions using test instruments on production equipment and machinery, and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical and/or engineering blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment, including drives and motors.
  • Three years of mechanical alignment experience.
  • Three years of experience with shop floor equipment such as Drill Press, Mills, Lathes, CNC equipment, automated and manual assembly and test lines, conveyors, and waste treatment.
  • Experience with robots, including Scara Arm, 6 Axis, and Articulated robots.
  • Three years of basic electrical and/or electronic experience.
  • Experience in stick, MIG, TIG welding, and cutting torch.
  • Three years of experience reading blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer manuals.
  • Three years of experience with air compressors and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with cooling towers and process water chillers.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience.
  • Industrial Maintenance Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Support production initiatives through equipment modifications and repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and equipment and make necessary repairs.
  • Record and schedule maintenance tasks, including time, parts, and materials used.
  • Lead and/or manage special projects as necessary.

  • Perform other duties as required.
