About The Position

The Maintenance Tech II participates in building maintenance for several of Melaleuca's properties. They will utilize different equipment and perform repairs and preventative maintenance. They will need to have previous experience in maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools, and have excellent customer service skills.

Requirements

• Proven maintenance experience
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and equipment
• Previous plumbing and HVAC experience is helpful
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work under stress
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Standing, sitting or walking for duration of shift
• Pulling, stretching, bending and lifting for duration of shift
• Manual dexterity for such duties as wiping, dusting, cleaning, etc.
• Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.)
• Good computer skills
• Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Performs general building maintenance and repairs
• Maintains landscape of Melaleuca properties
• Moves furniture as needed
• Maintains woodwork, doors, trim, etc.
• Performs minor plumbing and HVAC repairs
• Maintains walls by filling holes, patching and touching up paint
• Repairs windows, hang blinds, etc.
• Diagnoses maintenance issues and corrects them
• Performs preventative maintenance
• Inspects and troubleshoots equipment and systems
• Collaborates with other technicians and managers
• Assists in the installation or removal of equipment
• Performs general maintenance on Melaleuca vehicles
• Weekly inventory counts- Cleaning Supplies, PM & CM Parts, assets, etc.
• Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly PM checks and readings
• Works long or unusual hours on assigned shift
• Assists with the setup and take down of Melaleuca Events
• Performs various special projects according to skill and ability
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed
• Performs a soil extraction process on the carpeted areas on a monthly basis
