About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II position at Aquafil Carpet Recycling in Phoenix, AZ, is a full-time role requiring an experienced individual to work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM. The technician will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, inspecting job sites, and reviewing maintenance procedures for hazards. Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Welding experience.
• Troubleshooting skills for industrial machines.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or instrumentation maintenance procedures and work practices.
• Commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
• Familiarity with water quality monitoring, dust collection systems, blueprints, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe work environment by inspecting job sites and reviewing maintenance procedures for hazards.
• Conducts pre-job safety briefs for all assigned work and enforces safety rules and regulations.
• Coordinates with Maintenance Planners and other departments to develop effective repair strategies and maintenance schedules.
• Communicates scheduled and emergency maintenance activities to personnel within the department.
• Determines when additional resources, overtime, or contracted services are required.
• Administers the Employee Productivity Guidelines and Code of Conduct.
• Understands budget requirements for plant equipment and systems maintenance.
• Assumes standby responsibilities on a rotating basis and responds to emergency calls outside of normal work hours.
• Assists operating departments in monitoring equipment and troubleshooting abnormal operating conditions.
