About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician II - 3rd shift to join our team located in Winnebago, IL . The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair work on production equipment and facilities in order to ensure optimal performance and functionality. This position requires a thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems with the ability to work every other weekend. Supplemental benefits: company paid life insurance & AD&D, short-term & long-term disability, Employee Assistance Programs Financial benefits: 401K with Employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan eligibility Work-Life benefits: Paid Time Off (56 hours), Paid Sick Time (1 hour for every 40 hours worked), and Paid Holidays (up to 9 days annually) What Success Looks Like: Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and resolve intermediate to complex issues around machines and equipment Repair and recondition hydraulic/pneumatic systems (airlines, solenoids), as well as electrical equipment/components Maintain, repair, and modify conventional equipment Install plumbing, air, and electrical utilities necessary for machine operation Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts Repair or replace defective parts Install special functional and structural parts in devices Lubricate and clean parts Adhere to and complete work within the 5S standards, SOPs, and OSHA guidelines Maintain a strong safety focus with a willingness to adhere to safety guidelines What you bring: 4+ of experience, preferably within an industrial manufacturing environment Advanced experience and knowledge of electrical and mechanical applications Proficient technical and systems experience, including CMM systems experience Ability to read schematics The targeted salary range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hour + $0.75 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift. Requirements

  • 4+ of experience, preferably within an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of electrical and mechanical applications
  • Proficient technical and systems experience, including CMM systems experience
  • Ability to read schematics
