About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II performs skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance work to support reliable operation of production, roasting, and packaging equipment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, equipment changeovers, and supporting food safety and quality programs in a small, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Experience with electrical and PLC troubleshooting (no programming required).
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Intermediate computer, math, and writing skills.
  • Effective communication and time management.

  • The Operations teams are accountable for maintaining a safe workplace, working dependably and on schedule, operating equipment correctly, communicating issues early, and maintaining a strong sense of urgency to meet daily operational goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year degree in a manufacturing or maintenance-related field.
  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with GMP, food safety, or FSMA environments.
  • CMMS experience.
  • Experience with VFFS machine or similar packaging equipment

Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment repair, troubleshooting, and diagnostic work.
  • Execute and document preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Perform packaging line setup, changeovers, and equipment adjustments.
  • Support food safety, QA, and SOP compliance activities.
  • Assist with project planning, purchasing, and implementation.
  • Serve as a primary maintenance resource and communicate equipment and repair needs to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and maintain PM logs and documentation.
  • Support packaging line changeovers and verify proper equipment setup.
  • Conduct mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs with assistance as required.
  • Assist with roaster cleaning, grinder maintenance, and other production equipment upkeep.
  • Follow all PPE and LOTO requirements and support documentation as needed.
  • Complete safety-related logs, reports, checklists, and record-keeping.
  • Contribute to achieving equipment KPI goals (uptime, safety, PM compliance).
