Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate’s degree preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial or facility equipment
  • Proficiency using maintenance tools including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and vibration analyzers
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance strategies and equipment reliability practices
  • Knowledge of safety practices including lockout/tagout procedures, confined space entry, and hazardous material handling
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Experience using CMMS systems to track maintenance activities and generate reports
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting work and reporting issues
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and using power tools
  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed, including evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with maintenance technologies and best practices

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in industrial maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems (EPA, OSHA, or similar)
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), or industrial control systems
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial, or facilities maintenance environments
  • Familiarity with maintenance scheduling or project management software

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment and facility systems, including HVAC systems, motors, pumps, compressors, and plumbing
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure minimal disruption to operations
  • Assist with installation, setup, calibration, and testing of new equipment and machinery
  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules
  • Work independently on routine maintenance tasks while collaborating with senior technicians on more complex issues
  • Replace worn or damaged components such as belts, bearings, seals, and valves according to equipment specifications
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend adjustments, upgrades, or replacements to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Assist with emergency repairs, following safety protocols to minimize downtime
  • Support the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs
  • Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance parts, tools, and materials
  • Participate in safety audits and facility inspections, identifying hazards and recommending improvements
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians when needed
