What you will do: Maintain and operate electrical systems, DC systems, and station control components, including switchgear, motors, batteries, chargers, PLCs, HMIs, and safety devices. Operate and monitor station prime movers, compressors, valves, and auxiliary systems (air, fuel, cooling water, oil, safety), performing routine inspections and responding to alarms or abnormal conditions. Monitor operational pressures, alarm set points, and unit functions during normal operations; perform periodic checks of all operating variables. Maintain electrical control system end devices such as motor controls, transmitters, sensors, switches, solenoids, and actuators. Ensure compliance with NFPA 70 NEC, PHMSA, EPA, and company SOPs through accurate reporting and adherence to O&M manuals. Direct qualified employees in routine electrical controls, station maintenance, and operational activities. Assist in planning work, budgeting, and recommending spare parts levels to minimize downtime. Actively participate in safety programs, maintain cooperative team relationships, and project a professional company image. Perform all duties as assigned. Who you are: You Have: High school graduate or equivalent education. Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent education and/or experience. Two years directly relevant training and experience. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s License. Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions. Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required. Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions. Residency Requirement: Must reside within 30 Miles of the assigned reporting location. Preferred: Possesses the desire to learn and advance, as an Electrical Controls Technician. Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience. Able to work independently with little direction. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issues. Working knowledge of operations used in the maintenance of these facilities. Proficient in the use of standard office software applications. Able to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness, integrity, honestly, and openness are valued. Proven ability to drive and perform job duties safely.
