Maintenance Technician II
About The Position
As our Maintenance Technician, you'll keep our patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized. This protects everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards. Every day, you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting. You will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility. This role requires you to learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, including bodily fluids or sharp objects. You may also refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other supplies, as well as deliver clean linens. To be successful in this role, you are thorough and committed to safety. You truly are the most important component contributing to the safety and comfort of our patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements
- High School Graduate General Studies and Two (2) years of related work experience, upon hire or
- High School GED General Studies and Two (2) years of related work experience, upon hire

Responsibilities
- Repairs and Maintains machinery, mechanical equipment, refrigeration systems, HVAC systems and control systems in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications, using hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments
- Keeps records of equipment Repairs and maintenance.
- Observe mechanical devices (pumps, engines, compressors, motors, conveyor systems) or control systems in operation. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments and systems.
- Prepares surfaces for painting and finishing; applies undercoats and finish coats; mixes and matches paints and finishes.
- Builds cabinets, shelves and specialty items for departments, including plastics and plastic laminates from provided blueprints or selfâ generated sketches.
- Make general Repairs to the facility including furniture systems, room's fixtures and associated equipment.
