About The Position

We are currently hiring a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician II to support maintenance operations on our 2nd shift team. This mid-level role is ideal for a technician with solid hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment and facility systems. The Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for executing both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring equipment reliability to minimize downtime. The role requires working knowledge of maintenance tools and techniques, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment. Experience with PLCs or automated systems is a plus.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or an associate's degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
  • Proficient in using maintenance tools, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and vibration analyzers.
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance strategies and practices to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and perform necessary repairs or adjustments with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance, including lockout/tagout procedures, confined space entry, and handling hazardous materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and generating reports.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively report issues and document maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, such as climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and using power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in industrial maintenance, HVAC, electrical systems, or mechanical systems (e.g., EPA certification, OSHA certification).
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), or other industrial control systems.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial, or facilities maintenance environments.
  • Familiarity with project management software or tools used for scheduling and tracking maintenance tasks
