They have an immediate need for a well-organized, enthusiastic individual to join their prestigious, award winning property management team as a Maintenance Technician II at one of their luxury apartment community BLVD 475, Jersey City, NJ.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent or 2 years of experience in the field
  • EPA certifications for refrigerant recycling and at a minimum, Type I & II certifications (Veris will pay for the EPA testing materials and test if completed and passed within 5 months of being hired)
  • Valid Driver’s License and insurance
  • Black Seal – if required by property
  • CPO – Certified Pool Operator Certification – if required by property
  • Other licenses and certifications as required by state or local laws
  • Ability to arrive at the site within 30 minutes if not living on site

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose problems with and repair major appliances
  • Diagnose problems with and repair HVAC
  • Diagnose problems with and repair basic - intermediate plumbing (when no license required)
  • Diagnose problems with and repair basic - intermediate electrical (when no license required)
  • Diagnose problems with and repair sheetrock
  • Diagnose problems with and repair general carpentry
  • Perform pool care (if required by property)
  • Diagnose problems with and repair gutters
  • Perform wallpaper/painting
  • Deal well with people and get them to feel comfortable quickly
  • Utilize basic computer skills, specifically knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Provide strong customer service orientation
