About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II performs intermediate-level maintenance tasks and equipment repairs with limited supervision. This role expands technical capabilities in mechanical, electrical, and facility systems. The role is situated in Hebron, OH and is not a remote or hybrid position. Perma-Pipe International Holdings, Inc is a dynamic, global supplier of pipe coating solutions and factory pre-insulated piping systems serving the oil & gas, district heating and cooling, and industrial markets. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–4 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Basic understanding of OSHA regulations and electrical safety principles.
  • Ability to read technical documents and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to move throughout shop, yard, and facility areas.
  • Occasional bending, climbing, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift or move equipment and tools up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training, trade certification, or apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment including motors, pumps, conveyors, and production machinery.
  • Assist with electrical troubleshooting and controls maintenance under supervision.
  • Perform repairs to maintain equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Identify potential issues and proactively address equipment reliability concerns.
  • Support installation, relocation, and modification of production equipment.
  • Assist in equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and basic electrical schematics.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders within CMMS.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ensure safe work practices when servicing equipment and working on the production floor.
