From creating the home standby generator market category, to our current evolution into an energy technology solutions company, we continue to push new boundaries. 1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (may vary depending on the need) Starting Wage: $23.60-$28/hour depending on qualifications and experience Job Location: Sussex, WI We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a strong background in building systems and industrial maintenance. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of facility and production equipment and infrastructure while demonstrating independence, professionalism and reliability. Job Summary: Following established process and procedures, the Maintenance Technician is expected to perform emergency, routine and preventive maintenance on all production and building equipment while maintaining safety and communicating effectively. This position is responsible for daily problem solving and for the repair of robotic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or small outdoor power equipment that is associated with manufacturing and facility infrastructure (where applicable).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance and maintaining industrial equipment, automation or product repair.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
  • On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
  • The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
  • Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance on building systems. Systems including heating, cooling, air handling, water treatment, office furniture, electrical and lighting fixtures, A/V systems, kitchenette appliances, plumbing, drywall repair, painting, fire prevention system, alarm management and waste management.
  • Perform preventative maintenance of production line equipment.
  • Support and service of production lines within the facility including mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repair.
  • Conduct equipment testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain optimal performance.
  • Conduct contractor coordination and scheduling, and manage vendor communications.
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs and implement quick fixes for both facility and production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Support facilities operations by assisting with general maintenance tasks.
  • Handle office and conference room setups, furniture moves, coordinating with executive staff.
  • Perform mowing, trimming, weeding, general property clean up and other seasonal external facility maintenance.
  • Maintain compliance with training programs, 5S program, and system entry of PMs and work orders.
  • Gather information and assist in creation of new PMs.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and building schematics.
  • Collabo rate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure safety and operational excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned.
