About The Position

It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Technician II to perform scheduled preventative maintenance on Schroeder Industries LLC’s (SI) mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, to maintain inventory of spare parts, as well as scheduling and recording of maintenance and repairs using MPulse software.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Minimum of four years’ technical school training or on the job experience in mechanics and proven mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Experience with PLC’s and robotics is required.
  • Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design is required.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Computer experience including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.
  • Capability to obtain forklift certification to drive a forklift, including RAYMOND upright trucks and Wave machines; including manlift up to 20 feet.
  • Availability to work any shift or weekends as needed or to be called in on off shifts to troubleshoot breakdowns.
  • Maintains confidentiality when working with company proprietary information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Electronic certification or comparable certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MPulse software or other maintenance tracking software preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic welding is preferred.
  • Willingness, desire, and ability to successfully complete training and education deemed necessary for the successful performance of all job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on SI mechanical and electrical equipment and systems according to an established program, including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Perform facility maintenance as required. This includes training and responsibility for all machines and equipment being in optimal operational condition consisting of changing of all oils, coolants, greasing, checking all electrical (up to 408 volts), hydraulics, pneumatics, components, and cleaning, as well as checking functionality when finished.
  • Maintain and update maintenance programs, schedules and records of work performed.
  • Maintain file of equipment service manuals and inventory of spare parts.
  • Maintain facility maintenance which includes but is not limited to new hook-ups, replacements, removals, and set-ups of existing and new machinery including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic hook-ups.
  • Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns using meters, schematics, and parts sheets to reorder items.
  • Perform fabrication and welding work when required.
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization through 5S practice.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
