About The Position

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor installs, maintains, repairs and fabricates plant equipment and facilities. Where You'll Work This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Suffolk, VA daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. What You'll Do Assignments include but are not limited to building maintenance, phone data and wiring, repair of conveyors, packaging equipment, fork trucks, hydraulics, HVAC equipment, etc. Perform periodic inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance schedule and report findings. Work from mechanical and/or electrical schematic, sketches manuals, specifications, and written and oral instructions. Under minimal directions, works directly from the work orders. Use hand and power tools and other equipment as necessary to complete assignments. Follow all company safety and security procedures. Maintain a clean work area. Performs other related activities as assigned and needed.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent combination of training and education.
A minimum of 5-7 years related maintenance experience.
Must have distribution/manufacturing electrical experience.
Educational requirements would include evidence of electrical theory, with a degree in electronics or electricity a plus.
Must have primary and secondary trade skills to include electrician, carpenter, pipefitter, air conditioning mechanic, welder, and/or machine repair.
Must have a broad knowledge of pneumatic controls, packaging equipment, conveyor belts, phone and data wiring, HVAC and electrical systems, and a PC preventative maintenance program.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Can work overtime and weekends as assigned.
