About The Position

The Clearwater Housing Development Corporation (CHDC) is an asset management company that provides innovative, progressive, and affordable property management. Maintenance Technician II We are seeking a Maintenance Technician II to maintain and improve the physical quality of their assigned property. A Maintenance Technician II completes maintenance tasks in vacant apartments, resident apartments and common areas, including preventative repairs. A valid EPA certificate and driver's license is required. The work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments under the immediate oversight of the Maintenance Supervisor and with overall direction of the Capital Maintenance Officer. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm benefits-eligible position in Clearwater, FL. At CHDC you can expect a pleasant, dynamic and supportive work environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Three or more years of experience in various trades including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, appliances and/or electrical maintenance and repair, elevator systems and painting.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows operating system and MS Office software.
  • Possession of valid Florida Driver’s License.
  • Safety, fire prevention and first aid techniques.
  • Measurement and mathematical calculations.
  • Operate motor vehicle.
  • Ability to work in a variety of conditions and locations including confined areas, rooftops, underground spaces, etc.
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
