Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate’s degree preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance experience
- Proficiency with maintenance tools, including hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and vibration analyzers
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies and safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and confined space procedures
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Experience with CMMS or similar maintenance tracking systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to document maintenance activities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize tasks
- Willingness to stay current with emerging maintenance technologies and industry best practices
Nice To Haves
- Certification in industrial maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems (EPA, OSHA, or similar)
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS), PLCs, or industrial control systems
- Prior experience in manufacturing or large-scale industrial maintenance
- Familiarity with project management tools for maintenance scheduling and tracking
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC systems, motors, pumps, compressors, and plumbing
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and machinery to ensure minimal operational downtime
- Assist in installation, calibration, and testing of new equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs using CMMS
- Collaborate with senior technicians to resolve complex maintenance issues and improve processes
- Replace worn or damaged parts, such as belts, bearings, seals, and valves
- Support emergency repairs, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Contribute to preventive maintenance programs and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain inventory of tools and parts for efficient workflow
- Provide guidance and support to junior technicians when needed
