About The Position

Drury Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to maintain the physical hotel property and grounds, ensuring safe and smooth operations. This role involves completing various repairs and preventative maintenance tasks on systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC. The technician will also perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl, and drywall repair. A key aspect of the role is implementing and monitoring programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment, complying with all appropriate regulations including ergonomic, emergency response, and injury prevention. The position requires keeping detailed records and reports, providing ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members, and collaborating with management on department recruitment. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician II contributes to an exceptional guest experience through courteous and friendly service.

Requirements

  • Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance
  • Ability to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality
  • Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations for pool maintenance
  • Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel
  • Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing
  • Ability to speak, write and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English
  • Flexibility to be available for emergency repair
