The position involves driving a City of Pasadena vehicle to deliver and pick up a variety of parts and equipment. The employee will be responsible for loading and unloading the vehicle, contacting vendors to invite quotes and bids, and comparing, analyzing, and recommending product services and awards of quotes and bids. Additionally, the employee will assist in conducting necessary follow-up activities to finalize purchase order transactions. The role requires inputting, maintaining, and retrieving a variety of files and records utilizing both manual and automated filing systems for vendor files, inventory, purchase orders, and requisitions. Obtaining verbal and/or written quotes is also part of the job. The employee must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. The position requires compliance with the assigned schedule and adherence to the City timekeeping and attendance policy.
