  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support installation and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Wire new and existing industrial machinery, including sensors, relays, PLCs, and control panels.
  • Install and connect electrical components such as limit switches, solenoids, encoders, and proximity sensors.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install plant electrical systems across 480V, 240V, 208V, and 120V.
  • Diagnose and repair motor issues including overheating, bearing failure, and winding faults.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot motor starters, contactors, and overload protection devices.
  • Install, commission, and program VFDs for applications like pumps and machine tools.
  • Configure and calibrate VFD parameters based on equipment requirements.
  • Perform scheduled electrical inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance of panels and devices.
  • Use diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Maintain lighting systems, emergency lighting, and power distribution panels.
  • Service electrical systems such as HVAC controls, battery charging systems, and safety interlocks.
  • Ensure proper grounding and bonding in all electrical installations.
  • Follow NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before maintenance.
  • Identify and mitigate potential electrical hazards to ensure safety and minimize downtime.
  • Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and equipment breakdowns.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
  • Maintain accurate logs and updated wiring diagrams for equipment modifications.
  • Support continuous improvement by recommending and implementing electrical upgrades.
  • Assist department in various tasks as needed including but not limited to: Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance (PM’s), Environmental & Safety concerns, Facilities Maintenance and Housekeeping (light bulb change, painting, moving equipment, sweeping, cleaning, etc.).
