Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (two year college and/or technical school) preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years related manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • 1-3 years electrical experience preferred.
  • Must possess basic PC skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Track all equipment information on computer (breakdowns, PMs, materials, etc.).
  • Specific licenses required: electrical safe practices or Arc Flash certificate, mechanical, valid driver's license, ability to pass Hayward's forklift certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
  • Inspect AC frequency drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, reference blueprints, equipment manuals, engineering drawings, and communication with OEM manufacturer for support as necessary.
  • Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.
  • Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures.
  • Operate cutting torches or MIG/TIG welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Be knowledgeable of hydraulics and pneumatics assembly, PLC controller equipment, sensor, Vision System, Frequench Drives and Motor controls.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Respond to multiple line calls identifying and repairing assembly and fabrication equipment to maintain production rates.
  • Repair automated conveyor lines (Logomat), Robotic fastening and packaging cells (Yaskawa, Lentech), CNC controlled punching and bending equipment (LVD), die repair and maintenance (Oak Presses & Oak Expenders), PLC, Siemens, Allen Bradley and Vision Systems (Conex & Keyence).
  • Follow OSHA regulations & company safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE usage & proper equipment handling.
  • Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions or incidents to supervisor immediately.
