2nd Shift Maintenance Technician I

About The Position

We are seeking a well-rounded individual who can perform maintenance duties on a variety of equipment units, perform building maintenance, and assist with basic grounds keeping. The maintenance technician will work independently at times and as a team to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Safety First- Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with all compliance and regulatory requirements including Life Safety Elements and hold others accountable to do the same.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED and must hold a certificate or diploma,
Willing to work overtime, Saturday & Sunday if necessary, must have a flexible schedule.
Strong critical thinking and creative skills
Desire & ability to continuously learn & apply new knowledge/skills
Values teamwork & skills necessary to be an effective team member
Previous maintenance or manufacturing experience
Hands on experience in a maintenance or mechanical capacity
Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools & techniques.
Passion for quality workmanship
Passion for Safety

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing equipment.
Maintain plant plumbing, heating, cooling and related facilities and equipment
Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Identify and resolve problems before they become costly
Knowledge and utilization of lean manufacturing.
Basic computer skills, performing basic tasks in maintenance software(CMMS).
Required to maintain plant safety and housekeeping.
Perform basic trouble shooting of hydraulic systems
Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate with maintenance staff and others.
Work in a fast pace environment with changing priorities.
Must be able to understand and complete work assignments.
Welding, fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and machining skills.
Available for on-calls for down equipment, snow removal, or any other urgent plant items.
Other duties as necessary.
On Call responsibilities
