About The Position

We are seeking a "new-bee" to join our Maintenance team and help us ensure that our equipment and facilities are running smoothly, enabling us to distribute our high-quality honey and other natural food ingredients. As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and on-demand trouble shooting to maintain safe and efficient material handling equipment, production lines, and building systems at GloryBee. To be successful in this role you will exhibit strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and independent problem-solving skills. Your work each day could entail things like repairing faulty equipment, moving office furniture, or organizing parts and cleaning the maintenance shop, while also being available to address unexpected interruptions in support of a seamless production line. Work tasks are performed both inside and outside, and while the primary work location is at our Production Facility, located at 1680 Irving Road Eugene OR, this role will support both GloryBee locations (120 N. Seneca & 29548 Airport Road), which could require driving between sites. Must have clean driving record and insurance. The work week for this full time hourly role is Monday through Friday during the day shift, starting as early as 6:00am each morning.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of related maintenance experience is required; 5 or more years' experience is preferred; trade certifications are highly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS preventative maintenance tracking system/s
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems and schematics
  • Knowledge of HVAC and refrigerant systems
  • Ability to properly utilize a variety hand and power tools
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and cultivate relationships with others
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to drive between both Eugene, Oregon locations as needed, to complete assigned work tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fabrication and welding is highly desired, but not required
  • Knowledge of programmable controllers and associated software, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative maintenance inspections and service on machines
  • Assists moving furniture, equipment, and replacing worn or damaged parts
  • Detects, reports and repairs improper machine operation and faulty equipment
  • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies
  • Operates standard maintenance tools in accordance with departmental and safety policies and procedures
  • Reads and understands general concepts of mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Effectively utilizes the CMMS to complete assigned duties and tasks
