As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for machine operation and performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks in order to ensure the efficient operation of machinery, equipment, and facilities. The role requires a robust technical aptitude and the ability to work individually or as part of a team. There are three levels of skillset in this position, each with varying degrees of expertise and responsibilities. This job description is for Maintenance Technician I. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function. As a Maintenance Technician I, your primary responsibility will be to operate and assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities within the organization. Perform basic maintenance tasks under supervision or guidance. Conduct routine inspections and identify potential issues. Assist in repairing and replacing faulty components, such as switches, motors, or belts. Carry out preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machinery and equipment. Operate the machines related to production. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Document maintenance activities and maintain records. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area, machines, and equipment. Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness. Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance. Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards. Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
