About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing routine maintenance, basic repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment, facilities, and building systems. This entry-level position works under direct supervision to ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery and property. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities. Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules. Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues. Perform minor repairs on machinery, tools, and building systems. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Assist senior technicians with larger repair or installation projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field.
  • 0–2 years of maintenance or related experience.
  • Basic computer skills for work order systems.
  • OSHA safety training (preferred but not required).
