About The Position

We are excited to offer an amazing opportunity as a Maintenance Technician I (Entry Level) to join our award winning team at Kohl’s Ranch Lodge in a casual, family friendly atmosphere that makes each stay here an inviting experience that leaves visitors wanting to come back for more. Our team strives to create a small town, family friendly environment for our team members, owners and guests by treating everyone we encounter with care and respect. As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the resort’s buildings, common areas and amenities, (including pools, Jacuzzis), guestrooms and cabins, and the surrounding grounds/landscape. Your responsibilities will include various tasks, such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, and masonry, electrical, and groundskeeping.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Currently possess a Driver's License.
  • Must be willing to work 3 to 5 night shifts a week (2pm to 1030pm), to include weekends and holidays.
  • 1+ year(s) of related experience.
  • Ability to follow basic written and verbal directions, climb stairs, work on ladders up to 40 feet, push/pull up to 100 lbs, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, grasp, stoop, and reach overhead.
  • Be an effective communicator.
  • Able to perform in a team environment, often with people outside of the Maintenance department.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting pool maintenance and ensuring the cleanliness of the pool and public areas.
  • Performing tasks such as clearing drains, replacing appliances, repairing pool equipment (including pumps, heaters, filters, and electrical switches), plumbing, painting, replacing electrical outlets, perfoming preventative maintenance and conducting surface repairs.
  • Maintaining all tools (power tools, hand and yard tools, company vehicles) and pool equipment to ensure they are clean, in proper working order, and organized
  • Monitoring systems, including emergency systems, and having general familiarity with fire sprinklers and emergency power systems.
  • Reading, logging, and interpreting readings from meters, gauges, and other pool equipment measuring systems.
  • Ensuring the safety and prevention of accidents in and around the pool areas for both Team Members and guests/owners.
  • All Team Members receive CPR certification through the Red Cross, provided every 2 years as a requirement.
  • Conduct work and communicate effectively with others (Think, act and speak as a profesio)
  • Other duties as assigned.
