Your role at Baxter As a Maintenance Technician I you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operation of plant manufacturing equipment through hands on maintenance and maintenance related initiatives. Support plant production through troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and systems through preventative maintenance procedures and root cause analysis. Technologies You’ll Work With PLCs: Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Omron Controls & Automation: SCADA / EMS / BMS (preferred) Motor & Motion Control: VFDs, servos, stepper motors Sensors & Vision Systems: Photo eyes, proximity sensors, Cognex, Keyence High-Speed Equipment: Packaging lines, conveyors, pick‑and‑place systems Electrical Systems: AC/DC motors, controls up to 480V 3‑Phase

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1–2 years of maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and work with electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Basic computer skills (Windows, email, Microsoft Office)
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of cGMP environments

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or trade school training
  • Experience with CMMS (Maximo preferred)
  • Experience with PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Omron)
  • Familiarity with high-speed filling and packaging equipment

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on medical IV solution filling and packaging equipment
  • Working with automated systems, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and motor controls
  • Diagnosing electrical problems using schematics, drawings, multi-meters, and diagnostic tools
  • Supporting equipment reliability through daily preventive maintenance and rapid response to trouble calls
  • Maintaining and improving equipment using root cause analysis
  • Documenting work accurately in the CMMS (Maximo preferred) and following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Performing equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations
  • Partnering with EHS and Quality teams to ensure full compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Working safely at all times while following Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout, and other safety programs
