Pay: 19.00 hourly As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be an integral part of the Hotel Blake team, responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel's facilities. Your role is crucial in ensuring a seamless guest experience and a safe, comfortable environment for our guests and staff. You will work closely with the maintenance team to address any issues and ensure timely resolutions. Requirements

  • Journeyman Apprentice status, as recognized by Local 399 Union.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general handyman tasks.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Inspect and maintain hotel equipment, such as kitchen appliances, laundry machines, and fitness center equipment.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and identify potential hazards, taking necessary actions to mitigate risks.
  • Assist in minor construction projects and renovations, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to Hilton's standards of cleanliness.
  • Attend training sessions and stay updated with industry best practices and safety protocols.
