About The Position

Join our dynamic team at Stratum as a Maintenance Technician I and play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing Eastpark Apartment Homes in Salem, Oregon. This is a new position created as Eastpark grows with the delivery of new units at this brand-new multifamily community. We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a passion for property maintenance and a commitment to excellence. Eastpark Apartment Homes – Salem, OR Eastpark Apartment Homes in Salem offers stylish studio to three-bedroom apartments designed for comfort and modern living. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One (1) year in a Porter position or equivalent maintenance experience preferred
  • Basic skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and janitorial tasks
  • Pool maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation required
  • This position requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, crouching, and climbing stairs or ladders up to six feet.
  • Employees must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, move heavy equipment, and use hand and power tools.
  • The role involves repetitive motions of the hands, fingers, and wrists, and requires sufficient hearing, motor skills, and coordination to safely operate equipment and perform job tasks.
  • Work may be performed in confined spaces, outdoors in all weather conditions, and may involve exposure to chemicals, machinery, and electrical components.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall
  • Maintain cleanliness of all common areas, including leasing office, clubhouse, restrooms, and laundry rooms
  • Conduct daily property walks to ensure cleanliness and safety
  • Assist with pool maintenance, including filter, pump, and water testing
  • Safely operate tools and equipment such as drills, blowers, paint sprayers, and golf carts
  • Support unit turnovers, ensuring apartments are prepared for new residents
  • Document all work performed using property management software (Yardi experience preferred)
  • Be available for after-hours emergency coverage on a rotating schedule
  • Travel to other properties as needed for business support
  • Complete all required trainings and maintain safety certifications
