About The Position

The Residence Inn Tustin Orange County is seeking a Maintenance Technician I who will play a crucial role in ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and that our guests feel comfortable and at home. This position involves responding to guest repair requests, communicating effectively with guests to resolve maintenance issues, and performing preventive maintenance on various tools and equipment. The technician will be responsible for visually inspecting tools, equipment, and machines, as well as carrying necessary equipment such as tools and radios. The Maintenance Technician I will also maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, requisition parts as needed, and communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs. A basic knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge in areas such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and energy conservation is essential. The technician will perform surface preparation, painting, minor repairs, and ensure thorough cleanup of work areas. In addition to technical skills, the role requires the ability to test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment and plumbing systems. The technician will also be responsible for programming TVs, performing general housekeeping duties, and adhering to safety and security policies. A professional appearance and the ability to maintain confidentiality are crucial, as is the ability to develop positive working relationships with team members and guests. The role may involve physical demands such as lifting objects up to 50 pounds and moving up and down stairs or ladders. Overall, the Maintenance Technician I will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for our guests and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
