About The Position

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is looking for a Maintenance Technician - Level I to join our team! This general maintenance worker will perform maintenance repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including minor plumbing, minor electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. This is a Full-Time position (PT available). Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem needs with day and evening shift availability. Requirements

  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Clear sink and grease trap, assemble non-medical equipment.
  • Move supplies, furniture and equipment, removing trash and scrap materials.
  • Conduct routine safety and preventive maintenance inspections to ensure that services are maintained without interruption.
  • Patch and paint walls, rooms, machinery and other surfaces.
  • Monitor and maintain all HVAC-related equipment such as air handlers, pumps, steam humidifiers, chilled water systems, refrigeration equipment and related building automation to HVAC equipment.
  • Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
  • Perform routine maintenance on building systems.
  • Clean and assist with the upkeep of the facilities.
  • Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Add fittings and fixtures such as door handles, hinges, locks, and closures.
  • Construct and install building frameworks, structures, and fixtures, such as walls, floors, door frames, windows, molding, cabinets, and shelves.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
  • Use electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.).
  • Receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
  • Read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
  • Be attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
