About The Position
The Maintenance Technician I at Club Wyndham Governor's Green Resort is responsible for performing general facility maintenance with minimal supervision, ensuring the preservation of optimum quality and efficient production. This role involves executing service requests and repairs as directed, maintaining make-ready units, and conducting inspections of building systems to report deficiencies to the supervisor. The technician will adhere to the company's safety programs and follow the Maintenance Departmental Operating Procedures to ensure all tasks are completed effectively. Key responsibilities include performing the Room Preventative Maintenance (RPM) process, which entails a detailed inspection of guest rooms and units, addressing any deficiencies to restore them to a 'like new' condition. The technician will also complete work orders and customer requests, applying knowledge of general repairs, which may include fixing doors, windows, walls, flooring, ceilings, furniture, cabinetry, and basic electrical and plumbing issues. Additionally, the technician will inspect units for deficiencies in lighting, electronics, plumbing, and appliances, performing necessary repairs to ensure readiness for owner occupancy. The role may also involve basic janitorial work within the units and common areas, as well as basic landscaping and maintenance of the exterior of the building and pool/spa areas, depending on the location. The technician will perform other duties as needed, contributing to the overall maintenance and upkeep of the resort facilities.
