About The Position

The position involves working independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. The individual will gain proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job, performing preventive maintenance and repairs on complex production equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and injection molding presses. The role requires evaluating and recommending equipment improvements to enhance efficiency, capability, and yield, as well as conducting equipment failure analysis. This position operates on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 2:30pm-11pm) and is 100% onsite at the Dublin, OH facility.

Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot pneumatics, electrical components, assembly machines, bagging machines, mechanical systems, robots, and pickers.
  • Must be able to use multi-meter, calipers, and hand tools.
  • Experience in injection molding, hoist, overhead cranes, heating, and cooling is desired but not required.
  • High level of resourcefulness and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications and read engineering drawings.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Skills or experience in injection molding, welding, pipe fitting, sheet metal work, and/or hydraulic hose fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the successful completion of assigned maintenance tasks or process improvements.
  • Integrates state-of-the-art technology with existing equipment to improve the process.
  • Keeps Supervisor fully informed of project status and technical issues.
  • Performs tasks and assignments for supervisor in accordance with established schedules or timelines.
  • Follows up on projects/assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Participates in maintenance huddles and improvement discussions as a key team member.
  • Performs complex repairs and redesigns equipment to enhance machine performance.
  • Recommends timing appropriate for the situation to supervisors.
  • Performs machine Preventive Maintenance tasks, documenting results accurately.
  • Adheres to and maintains up-to-date status on pertinent cGMPs, cGDP, SOPs, and plant policies.
  • Reinforces safety practices and sets an example for other employees.
  • Assists in machine changeover and optimizes machine performance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
  • Works overtime as required to support plant needs.
