About The Position

At Richelieu Foods we make Great Food from Great People. We are looking for a Maintenance Apprentice to provide support and solutions in our ever-changing food manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating wrappers and packaging equipment
• Some Experience in maintenance or related fields can be beneficial, especially for those with some experience as maintenance technician
• Basic knowledge of troubleshooting bearings, belts, sprockets, chains, and any other moving parts in the equipment
• Ability to make recommendations on spare parts, lock-out-tag-out, and machine Guarding

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge using hand tools and power tools
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude and knowledge of equipment functions

Responsibilities

• Assists Maintenance Technicians on repairs
• Repairs or replaces defective parts
• Makes necessary adjustments to functional parts of devices and control instruments, based on production requirements
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment based on schedule or immediate needs
• Creates and enters work orders for necessary repairs
• Allocate and documents hours worked on applicable work orders
• Disassembles and assembles production equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts
• Install, move and relocate machinery/equipment according to drawings
• Performs other duties as assigned
