About The Position

The Maintenance Technician – Forklift Repair is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all powered industrial trucks within the facility. This role performs troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on forklifts and related material‑handling equipment to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted warehouse and production operations. The technician upholds safety standards, maintains accurate service records, and collaborates with operations teams to identify equipment needs and optimize performance.

Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a trade school degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
• 1 year of work experience.
• Experience working with general engine parts.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical inclination.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on Industrial electric forklifts.
• Experience working on conveyor systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, as well as technical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues where needed, and understands and troubleshoots conveyor operating system logic.
• Performs preventative maintenance and necessary modifications on electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, and buildings.
• Provides equipment status reports, including details of unusual maintenance problems.
• Follows all safety guidelines established by manufacturer, Home Depot, or government agencies, and adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment, performing daily cleanup of work areas.
