Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the following Section 42 for senior and multi-family properties: Bell Tower Place - Franklin, WI Francis Meadows - Burlington, WI Riverworks Lofts - Milwaukee, WI This position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including apartment repairs, preventative maintenance, and unit turns to keep our apartment buildings in top condition. This position will work with vendors for warranty, as appropriate with Thrive On. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our residents. This position will be Full-Time with benefits.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Since this position has a company vehicle you must pass our vehicle policy requirements in order to be assigned a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
  • Diagnose and repair issues in apartments and common areas promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify and address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Implement and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to extend the life of building systems and equipment.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and effectively.
  • Be available for rotating on-call and emergency maintenance duties within the Milwaukee market
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing maintenance requests and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with property management and residents regarding maintenance issues and resolutions.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate in safety training and meetings as required.
