The City of Nampa Facilities Department is looking for a motivated professional with proven leadership, exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, who is analytical and data-driven and can work independently and multitask. The Facilities Maintenance Technician I will perform standard maintenance and mechanical duties, maintain a clean, operational, attractive, and safe environment for the City building, and perform other duties as required or assigned. The principal function of an employee in this class is to perform standard maintenance and mechanical duties. The work is performed under the supervision and direction of an assigned supervisor, but considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with the assigned supervisor, other City employees, and the general public. The principal duties of this class are performed in an indoor and outdoor environment in a variety of terrains and weather conditions.
