Requirements

  • High school diploma with at least 2 years experience is qualifying; trade certifications are preferred.
  • Working knowledge of hand tools.
  • Ability to conduct predictive and preventative maintenance procedures with working knowledge of maintenance principles.
  • A valid and active driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine facility maintenance at assigned locations.
  • Performs light construction as necessary.
  • May perform tasks related to plumbing, carpentry, electric repair, and/or painting.
  • May assist with janitorial duties as needed.
  • Keeps company maintenance trucks in clean and working order.
  • Removes snow; salts walkways to prevent injury.
  • Communicates and escalates dangerous situations relating to the facility.
  • Maintains a valid driver's license.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Able to hang/repair/finish drywall.
  • Able to climb ladders.
  • Able to change flush valves, flushometers along with removing and resetting toilets and/or urinals.
  • Able to use drain snake.
  • Able to troubleshoot, repair and replace hot water heaters.
  • Able to change/inspect/test HVAC filters, belts and capacitors.
  • Able to diagnose HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electric issues.
  • Able to change ballast, light switches and receptacles.
  • Follows all OSHA standards regarding chemical use and storage.
  • Comply with policies, safety policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Requires own hand tools and cordless drill/driver.
  • Requires use of electronic work order systems.
