Maintenance Technician Experienced Location: Bedford,PA Shift: Rotating shifts Purpose of the position: Perform predictive/preventive maintenance analysis to anticipate and circumvent equipment failures, enhancing uptime and reducing costs

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5-10yrs years' experience preferred as CNC Maintenance Technician
  • Knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, seals and electric motors and controls
  • Knowledge and ability of rigging equipment and components.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree with focus in Electrical or Controls Engineering
  • Preferred knowledge SAP-PM and Step 7

Responsibilities

  • Has full proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures (or deep skills in a single area) through job-related training and considerable work experience
  • Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Typically has specialized external certification
  • Guides and supports junior team members; may assist in their formal orientation and training
  • May have specialized external certification
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical)
  • Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield
  • Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance)
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems
  • Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures
  • Prepare for new/relocated equipment installations by sizing, wiring, piping, ventilation, etc. according to incoming equipment requirements
  • Receive, rig, unload, transport, install, assemble, troubleshoot, and fine tune new/relocated equipment
  • Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs on existing equipment
  • Assist engineers in identifying worn or damaged parts that may be needed to complete the repair
  • Interface with and assist outside contractors, OEM's and Technology Process Support groups, in all attempts to install new and repair or upgrade existing processes
  • Safely handle hazardous materials and hazardous wastes
  • Interface with in-plant Computerized Machine Maintenance System to show status of work and time spent on job.
