About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Valero's Ethanol Plant in Albert City, Iowa, is responsible for the repair and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure optimal production quality and quantity. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of industrial equipment required.
• Welding experience on carbon/stainless steel preferred.
• Experience in the maintenance functions of a dry-mill ethanol plant preferred.
• Experience in the use of hand and power tools preferred.
• Able and willing to work on-site and in-person.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plant equipment to ensure maximum production quantity and quality.
• Participate in the plant maintenance program.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as required.
• Communicate with production and shipping/receiving departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
• Work with engineering department, external contractors, and vendors for new equipment installations.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance-related issues.
• Support new installations and other projects as requested by the supervisor.
• Understand and comply with city, county, state, and federal regulations related to maintenance and plant equipment.
• Work a schedule that may require overtime or call-in as needed.
• Participate in plant turn-arounds and cleanliness programs.
• Engage in Health, Safety, and Environmental programs.
• Complete assigned work orders.
