About The Position

Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Our goal is to be regarded as an irreplaceable resource by our customers. The only way for a company to meet such a goal is to consistently meet production deadlines and expectations. Position Description: The Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repairs of the shop machine equipment, facility grounds, and building and aids other maintenance staff, plus shop workers. This position is first shift – 5:30AM to 4PM, Monday – Thursday. May involve shift work, weekend coverage, or on-call rotation depending on company needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or education equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical skills.
  • Ability to use common hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, drills).
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in maintenance, construction, automotive repair, or manufacturing.
  • Exposure to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing systems.
  • Experience using a CMMS or maintenance tracking system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, tools, and facility systems.
  • Inspect equipment for wear, defects, or improper operation.
  • Document all PM activities in maintenance logs or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Assist senior technicians with equipment repairs and diagnostics.
  • Replace minor components such as belts, filters, bearings, hoses, light fixtures, and switches.
  • Help identify root causes of basic mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Perform routine facility tasks including cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and minor building repairs.
  • Support setup, installation, and relocation of equipment when needed.
  • Maintain tools, work areas, and maintenance storage rooms in an organized condition.
  • Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Report safety hazards, equipment failures, and unusual conditions immediately.
  • Participate in safety training and follow all PPE requirements.
  • Record maintenance activities accurately in CMMS or logs.
  • Communicate equipment needs, delays, and issues to supervisors or senior technicians.
  • Follow work orders and instructions with attention to detail.
