About The Position

Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have. The Maintenance Electrician plays a critical role in supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment by maximizing equipment reliability, availability, and uptime. This position is primarily focused on electrical maintenance and requires journeyman-level electrical experience, with additional exposure to mechanical systems and industrial automation. Working cross-functionally across multiple teams, you will troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems, automation controls, and electromechanical equipment that support production operations. This is a hands-on role essential to maintaining safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.

Requirements

5+ years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment; Journeyman level or higher
Experience with 480 VAC and lower voltages, electrical cabinets, motor controls, VFDs, drives, PLCs, and ladder logic
Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in production environments
Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E safety standards with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
Experience using a CMMS and standard computer applications for documentation and reporting
Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing (over 80% of the shift) and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
Ability to complete required respiratory fit testing and medical evaluation and work a full shift while wearing required PPE, including full-face respirators, SCBA or supplied-air systems, Tyvek suits, and PAPRs, as required for the role
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, including climbing ladders and stairs
Ability to operate and perform maintenance on equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized machinery

Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic systems, automation, and highly automated manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

Comply with all safety standards and maintain all required PPE.
Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production and facilities equipment to minimize downtime.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and electromechanical issues, implementing effective and timely solutions.
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems including power distribution, control panels, lighting, PLCs, motor controls, drives, and automation equipment.
Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
Support installation of new equipment, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Respond to unplanned maintenance events and coordinate repairs to restore operations quickly and safely.

Participate in LOTO/JHA activities, job walks, shift pass-downs, and CMMS documentation
