Our team is committed to maintaining high standards and delivering results that exceed expectations. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Property Management Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks, ensuring that our properties remain in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for promptly responding to all requests for the repair and maintenance of all equipment, grounds and buildings. This position rotates on call responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance, with a focus on property management or residential/commercial buildings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using various tools and equipment related to maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Availability for on-call emergency maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of property systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Address and resolve maintenance issues reported by tenants or identified during inspections.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours calls as needed.
  • Ensure that common areas and individual units are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide excellent service to tenants and respond to their maintenance requests professionally and courteously.
  • Complete projects as determined by Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Actively seek out other tasks when current work is complete.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
