About The Position

As the Maintenance Technician / Chemical Operator you are part of Best People. You will work with other maintenance personnel utilizing our Best Systems to monitor and operate chemical process equipment in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner. You will follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality control measures to ensure consistent production outcomes. Your attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to excellence help us achieve Best Results.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of chemical reactions, process flow, and safety data sheets (SDS).
  • Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or chemical plant settings preferred.
  • 49 CFR training preferred.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting gauges, meters, and control panels.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and production instructions accurately.
  • Comfortable working in hot, noisy, or confined spaces, and standing or walking for long periods.
  • Comfortable wearing chemical resistant suits and air supplied hoods for long periods.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work Pitman 2-3-2 schedule, weekends, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Ability to safely lift items up to 70 lbs.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, control, and adjust chemical processes through instrumentation and control systems.
  • Operate chemical process equipment such as mixers, pumps, valves, and filtration systems.
  • Follow strict safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and hazard communication protocols.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to ensure operational reliability.
  • Identify process deviations or abnormalities and initiate corrective actions promptly.
  • Perform loading unloading of tanker truck chemical materials, ensuring proper handling and transfer.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance of equipment and systems to ensure operational reliability.
