Requirements

At least 18 years old
Technical Skills Ability to perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, or facilities.
Basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC troubleshooting.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
At least 2 years maintenance experience.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.
Comfortable working in varying temperatures, heights, or confined spaces.
Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform repetitive tasks.
Work Habits Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Good communication and documentation skills (maintenance logs, work orders).
Licensing Valid CDL.
Clean driving record.
DOT medical card (current and valid).
Driving Skills Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, etc.)
Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and safety protocols.
Experience with loading/unloading, securing cargo, and performing pre-trip/post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities

Facilities & Building Maintenance Perform routine and preventive maintenance on buildings, grounds, and campus infrastructure.
Inspect facilities to identify repair needs, safety concerns, and code compliance issues.
Complete work orders involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
Maintain and repair doors, locks, fixtures, lighting, flooring, and exterior structures.
Assist with seasonal maintenance (snow removal, leaf removal, grounds upkeep).
Campus / Site Operations Support operations by setting up and breaking down rooms, equipment, and furniture as needed.
Assist with moving materials, equipment, and supplies between buildings or sites.
Collect scrap wood and cardboard and take it to its designated location.
Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and after-hours service calls when required.
Maintain clean, safe, and functional work areas in compliance with safety standards.
CDL Driving & Transportation Operate CDL-required vehicles such as dump trucks, plow trucks, box trucks, or buses as assigned.
Transport materials, equipment, and supplies safely between locations.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects or maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate driving logs and comply with DOT and CDL regulations.
Assist with snow plowing, sanding, and salting operations using CDL equipment.
Safety & Compliance Follow OSHA, DOT, and campus safety policies and procedures.
Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
Maintain knowledge of safety regulations related to facilities maintenance and vehicle operation.
Report hazards, incidents, and injuries promptly.
Documentation & Communication Complete work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance logs accurately.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, contractors, and campus personnel.
Assist in coordinating with outside vendors and contractors when needed.
Equipment & Inventory Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition.
Track and report usage of materials and supplies.
